rebel rebel, nj

today i was thinking like, shit i don't have enough tea! so off i went across the ben franklin bridge to cherry hill, where i was pulled over by the brontosaurus on route 70, and lo and behold, a construction crane was keeping him close company. like the past and the present forms of long necked beings of the world unite. so, he yelled at me for speeding and asked if i was smoking the ganja lately? i said nah - lying - and went to wegmans because of their vast tea assortment.

i hate full service gas stations. i want to just do it myself. it's annoying waiting for those dudes to waddle over and do it up.

so i think i remember my dream from last night and can now remember why i awoke at 5 am intensely disturbed. i was at my dad's and there's all this tension and anger and i actually told his torpid wife all the things i've ever thought to say to her but haven't to spare a huge fight or go where no one's gone before. anyways, i remember how frustrated i felt with her incredible way of being ignorant to the simple facts. everything is so personal with that poodle woman.

the simple fact is, i don't want to engage in small talk with you and act like i care every time i call my dad to bother him and maybe even to increasingly peck away at his ego. it's not anything personal, i just am over formalities. especially with those you could prefer not. anyways, i've been really into analyzing my dad. i must know if he thinks deeply. and by that i mean i must find this out. sometimes there are things about him that seem like he may be just a little more complex than we'd ever thought, but just for a second. and then he's back to being the republican modern country-western music listening to, richard branson looking guy. in case you didn't know; in essence, my dad is a rakish cur. he tells me the sickest shit. but he has no idea its kinda wrong or weird to say that shit to me. for example, he really really wants to hang out soon and asked me when my days were open so he could cancel court or cancel something else but just cancel. cancel anything. i'll cancel it!
like, so desperate, right? anyways, so then he says 'okee i can't thursday or friday of this week cuz, (((sigh))) well everyone has to do these sexual harassment classes.'
'oh nooooo...!' (<-michael scott impression.)
and he's like, 'yeeah...we all have to learn how not to sexually harass the women.'
'ew lame!'
'yeah.' hehe
'well. just don't go...'
he laughs his, 'i'm luxuriously amused' laugh that sounds like a woman yawning. and i think, geez, this guy's nuts! did i really just engage in boys locker room type shit with my dad?

stay and be gay! that's what was written on this magnet i discovered was prominently displayed on the side of the filing cabinets when you enter my dad's office in trenton. this was a way back a when, when i interned at the taxation building one summer while i was in school. i giggled when i saw it the first time. everything about that place makes you giggle or snicker. it's a weird place to work...to say the least.

so anyways - a few weeks later i decided to mention it:
'hey dad? why do you have this magnet on your cabinet that says "Stay and be gay!" and showed it to him.

so he's all mr. wilson and starts blaming his weird 60 yr old bachelor co-worker, frank, who i've known all my life. we used to share a shore house duplex in LBI with him and he had a german shepherd dog and sometimes a girlfriend, back in the day, but like, not really. he kinda has the face of a sea lion bred with a freakishly tall harold ramis. something about him makes me think of night court. uh...good guy, though. i think...

so yeah, i think this is where i get my predilection for constant practical jokes and trickery. i also always save the little toiletries that are in hotels and motels and even worse. i take after his hoarding vanity goods, i suppose. i remember digging under his sink when i was younger and going through this huge plastic bag and box filled with tiny little lotions and shampoos and shit from everywhere. then i thought about his match collection! haha my dad has a match collection! loser!

but no, really. it's sweet. because now, ike and i have acquired playing cards from almost every state or city we've been to. I think there's Arizona, San Francisco, Canada in general, Atlanta GA,
and Las Vegas. Oh and the johnson space center ones from houston, tx.

the nails on my left hand are pink, my right hand is bare and my feet are both red. im really anal about having the nails on my fingers be the same color as the nails on my toes. i don't know how this happened.

Tonight I almost drove to the shore just to see the ocean again. and to feel like i was moving. but it was too far for me to enjoy the drive back without being relaxed by thc. so after wegmans, it started raining crackers and dogs. so i thought, ooh maybe i'll just get out of the car and get soaked. but nah. so i got home and put some stuff away and did laundry and then i just took a shower.

interesting stuff, huh?

I collect shot glasses from where ever I've been. There's only one "poser." One of my old friends knew I collected them from all over so he got me one frmo when he went to Portland, Oregon. I'm happy he was thoughtful and knew what I liked, but he didn't realize that I really only collected ones from where *I* had been. I've never been to Oregon! Anyway....I still have it anyway. It has a rose on it and it's the thought that counts. I figure I have to visit Portland now just so I can feel legit.
